Dundee Hills AVA, Oregon, USA This is a classic Dundee Hills pinot noir with a touch of spice and heirloom roses on the nose. This wine has rich pomegranate, baked cherry and dusty red fruit flavors on the palate. Some whole-cluster fermentation accentuates both the lifted aromatics and the textural richness. The mid-palate is full, the tannins assertive but not aggressive, and the acidity makes this wine appropriate for long aging. The fruit was hand-harvested block-by-block based on optimum ripeness from 9/26/06 through 10/14/06. Vineyard sources include Sims 29%, La Colina 26%, Pearl 17%, Maresh 11%, Stoller 11% and Bella Vida 6%. The wine aged for 10 months in oak: 26% new French, 14% one-year old and 60% neutral barrel.
